3 Days Tsavo East & Salt Lick Safari – Kenya

Your safari begins with an early morning pick-up from Nairobi or Mombasa, heading towards Tsavo East National Park via the main highway.

Upon arrival, enter the park and begin an en-route game drive as you proceed deeper into the wilderness. Tsavo East is known for its vast open plains and red soil, which gives elephants their iconic reddish appearance.
Continue game viewing as you drive toward your lodge or camp. Expect sightings of elephants, giraffes, zebras, ostriches, antelopes, and possibly predators such as lions and cheetahs.

Arrive at your lodge or camp in time for lunch and check-in. After a short rest, proceed for an afternoon game drive exploring different sections of the park, including the Galana River region.

Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive in Tsavo East, focusing on high wildlife activity areas.

As evening approaches, experience one of Africa’s most unique safari highlights — observing wildlife directly from the lodge’s elevated viewing decks as animals gather at the illuminated waterholes.

Wake up early for a final opportunity to observe wildlife from your room balcony or lodge viewing deck as animals gather at the waterhole.
After breakfast, check out and enjoy a short game drive within Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary if time allows.
Begin your journey back to Nairobi or Mombasa, passing through scenic countryside and local communities.
Arrive in the afternoon or evening, marking the end of your Tsavo East and Salt Lick safari experience.
